 Portable Benefit Plans

  • Group Universal Life Insurance is a portable plan available through Mercer. You may request an information packet and application from Benefits Administration. Questions should be directed to Mercer at 1-800-642-5726.

 

Qualifying Life Events

 

“Qualifying Life Events” give employees the opportunity to make corresponding changes to their health benefit elections.

To make a change due to a qualified life event go to:

  • Employee Self-Service program (ESS)

  • Benefits

  • My Current Benefits

  • Review Your Current Elections

    •  Go to the “Dependent” section,

    • Click “Add a Dependent” or “Delete a Previously Enrolled Individual”

These are time sensitive; Most changes need to be done within 31 days of the event (60 days for birth of a child).
