HMIS Student Co-Op Program |
Each year, companies compete for top talent. HMIS believes that having a strategy for investing in and developing our future workforce is good business. The HMIS Cooperative Student Program, or Co-Op Program, is an important recruiting channel that is designed for long-term partnership and succession planning for staff career development and growth.
HMIS currently hires full-time college students enrolled at accredited educational institutions. Co-Op Program participants work 20-32 hours per week during the academic year as a part of the Co-Op Program. These Interns may transition to full-time, 40-hour employment during summer months and other academic breaks to take on more challenging roles and enhance their educational work experiences, depending upon budget availability.
Each Co-Op intern is assigned a manager and mentor (this may be the same individual) to provide daily guidance and work direction. The Co-Op intern will also be observed carefully by other department managers to verify adequate progress is being made both academically and professionally to ensure a long-term, positive outcome is achieved for both the Intern and the company.
HMIS selects individuals based on their field of study, and its relevance to the job assignment. To qualify for the Co-Op Program, students must meet and maintain specific requirements laid out in the HMIS Intern Co-Op Program Requirements document.
How to Apply
All HMIS Co-Op Internship educational work experiences will be posted on the HMIS External Job Opportunities website in the "Administrative Support" category.
